THE INFLUENCE OF ASSET MANAGEMENT ON ASSET MANAGEMENT PERFORMANCE IN THE BKAD OF SUMEDANG DISTRICT

Regional asset management is a crucial factor in supporting the efficiency, effectiveness, transparency, and accountability of regional government financial management, which ultimately impacts the quality of public services. This research is motivated by the challenges in implementing asset management at the Regional Asset and Finance Agency (BKAD) of Sumedang Regency, such as the lack of accurate inventory data and suboptimal asset maintenance, which have the potential to lead to waste and inefficient asset use. This study aims to analyze the influence of asset management on asset management performance at the Regional Asset and Finance Agency (BKAD) of Sumedang Regency. The research method used is a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis to determine the influence between asset management variables and asset management performance. The results of the study indicate that asset management, which includes planning, procurement, use, maintenance, and disposal of assets, has a significant effect on asset management performance at the BKAD of Sumedang Regency. Improving the quality of asset management has been proven to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency in regional asset management.
